Sunidhi Chauhan is an Indian playback singer, known for her film songs in Bollywood. She has recorded songs for several films,which made her a leading singer in India and across the world. She has sung the remix track called "Heartbeat" with the famous singer Enrique Iglesias.

She began to sing at the age of four and was discovered by a local TV anchor. She gained recognition through a television reality contest and soon entered playback singing through the film Shastra.

Her breakthrough was Ram Gopal Varma's film Mast, in which she sang the hit song "Ruki Ruki Si Zindagi." She has been nominated for fourteen Filmfare Awards, winning it twice. She has won many other awards and is one of the most popular playback singers in Bollywood.

HIGHLIGHTS OF CAREER

She has sung for the Hindi-dubbed version of Disney movie High School Musical — songs that were sung by the actress, Vanessa Anne Hudgens in the English version. She was the singer of the English song "Reach Out" at the opening ceremony of the 2006 Asian Games at Qatar.

In 2008, she went on to deliver a huge number of superhit songs like "Chhaliya" (Tashan), "Lucky Boy" (Bachna Ae Haseeno), "Desi Girl" (Dostana), "Dance Pe Chance" (Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi), and "Race Saanson Ki" (Race).

She has also worked alongside Anu Malik and Salim Merchant as a judge on the fifth season of the popular singing talent show Indian Idol 5. She also judged the sixth season of Indian Idol alongside Asha Bhosale, Anu Malik and Salim Merchant.
